High performance isn’t random. It’s patterned.
You’ve had those moments where everything just clicked.
You backed yourself.
Made clear decisions.
Delivered under pressure.
And walked away thinking, "I was on today".
But then the next time….it doesn’t land the same.
You can’t quite replicate it.
Not because you’ve lost your edge.
But because you haven’t spotted the pattern yet.
Self-trust doesn’t just appear.
Confidence doesn’t just “kick in.”
There’s a repeatable rhythm to how you operate at your best, and without reflection, that rhythm stays hidden.
Here’s what I’ve seen (and lived):
– Many ambitious people ride the highs but skip the review.
– They don’t capture what actually worked.
– They don’t make space to see the pattern.
And if you can’t see it, you can’t build on it.
This week I’m stepping back.....Rest, review, reset.
It’s not a luxury. It’s a strategy.
So the next time I need to back myself, it’s not guesswork, it’s deliberate.
If you’re someone wired for growth, in leadership, life or sport, here are a few questions worth asking:
– What tends to lead into your best work?
– Where do you typically hesitate or pull back?
– What’s one part of your high-performance pattern you’re ready to strengthen?
When you spot it, you can scale it.
When you back yourself, you lead better....in every part of life.
Would love to hear:
What have you learned about your pattern?
